SMITHFIELD, R.I. (March 29, 2010) – Veteran political strategist Donna Brazile (http://donnabrazile.com/), considered one of the most powerful women in Washington, D.C., will present a public lecture titled “A Time to Serve” at Bryant University on Thursday, April 1, at 7 p.m. in Janikies Theater on the Bryant University campus, 1150 Douglas Pike.
The lecture is free, but tickets are required. A limited number of tickets are available to the public. They can be reserved beginning Monday, March 29, by calling 401-531-6664.

Brazile became the first African American to direct a major presidential campaign when she led Al Gore’s bid in 2000. She is a syndicated columnist, a weekly contributor and political commentator on CNN, and a frequent contributor to National Public Radio’s “Political Corner.” She also appeared regularly on ABC’s “This Week” news show. She chairs the Democratic National Committee’s Voting Rights Institute and serves as an adjunct professor at Georgetown University and the University of Maryland.
