Fall/ Winter 2010 Edition
Partnerships define what AICU Rhode Island and its eight membership institutions are all about. Whether they are formal or informal, organic or of deliberate construct, one of our greatest benefits and mutally-benefical opportunities as institutions is to partner with our community.
This edition’s cover story, “Partnerhships for Success: The Next Stage…” highlights not only our member institutions’ impact on the State’s PK-12 system, but also that of our public brethren- the University of Rhode Island, Rhode Island College and the Community College of Rhode Island.
In AICU Rhode Island’s spring/summer 2010 edition of EdWORKS, we focus on attracting and retaining Rhode Island’s greatest asset – the best and brightest who attend AICU Rhode Island’s colleges and universities. This edition continues to define collaborations aimed at strengthening Rhode Island. The results of the previously featured Knowledge Retention Symposium, our collaborative effort surrounding student capture and knowledge retention held in October of 2009, are outlined in the cover story. The resulting “bRIdge – Connecting Academia, Business and Community,” our ambitious follow-up to what was learned at the Knowledge Retention Symposium is also outlined in the feature article. As with the content of this edition, future editions will focus on issues impacting Rhode Island, as well as ongoing member activities from education to community partnerships and beyond.
