SMITHFIELD, R.I. (Feb. 19, 2009) – David M. Walker, the former U.S. comptroller general who for a decade sounded the alarm regarding the government’s huge deficit and the out-of-control debt that burdens Americans, will bring the documentary I.O.U.S.A. to Bryant University on Monday, March 2, at 3:30 p.m. in Janikes Theatre, 1150 Douglas Pike.

Most schools ever in RecycleMania

The annual RecycleMania contest is a national competition among schools across the country to recycle as much as possible during the spring semester, which runs through the end of March. Schools compete in various categories measuring the success of their recycling and waste-prevention efforts.

JWU Receives Universitywide Recognition for Exemplary Community Service

For the third consecutive year, all four JWU campuses have been named to the President’s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll for exemplary service to America’s communities. In the 2007-08 academic year, JWU students performed a total of 72,000 hours of community service work.

BRISTOL — When the dust settles this summer, a $90 million-construction boom at Roger Williams University will be complete after a year’s flurry of activity. The school will now have new facilities to boast alongside a recent US News and World Report story that ranked it eighth among the country’s top bachelorette schools.
