AICU Rhode Island (formally RIIHEA), in concert with the Rhode Board of Governors and Campus Compact Rhode Island, recently surveyed the overall scope of partnerships between PK-12 schools and Rhode Island's higher education institutions - both public and private. The goal of the Partnership for Success Project is to improve educational opportunities and future prospects for all Rhode Island students.
Each institution identified the partnerships that had the greatest impact, were the most innovative and were most easily replicable. Please visit http://www.pk-16.com to access the website which houses the preliminary report presented on March 17, 2008 to the Governor's PK-16 Council. The final report will be available in June 2008.
The information presented on the site offers a hopeful vision of the current value - and the future potential - of partnerships between Rhode Island's universities and colleges and its PK-12 schools.
