Dan Egan
President
Daniel P. Egan of Bristol, Rhode Island, was appointed President of the AICU Rhode Island in January 2007. Only the fifth President in the 45-year history of the Association, Dan leads AICU Rhode Island efforts in the area of advocacy and consortium activities. Responsible for AICU Rhode Island outreach on the federal, state and local level, the President represents the collective interests of Rhode Island’s independent colleges and universities before numerous external constituencies.
Ryan Foster
Interim Communications, Policy, and Member Relations Assistant
Ryan Foster joined AICU Rhode Island in April 2024 as our Interim Communications, Member Relations, and Policy Assistant. He is passionate about the role higher education has to play in his home state of Rhode Island and is looking forward to his new position. He is responsible for communications with members, external partners, and the State. He is also responsible for conducting research in policy matters.
Ryan studied at Suffolk University, receiving his Bachelor’s of Arts in International Relations and history, concentrating in global diplomacy. Ryan spent a semester studying in Madrid, Spain and has participated in several research trips hosted by Suffolk University, both in and out of the United States.
