Brown University adding vice provost for arts

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — Brown University is adding a vice provost for the arts as part of an effort to expand the school’s focus in the area.

The school announced Friday Michael Steinberg has been appointed to the newly created position and will begin in January. He will remain in his current role as director of the Cogut Center for the Humanities at Brown through June 30. The vice provost for arts will serve as a member of the president’s cabinet.

Alex and Ani to offer training to Roger Williams University law students

CRANSTON, R.I. – Roger Williams University School of Law is partnering with Alex and Ani to offer a clinical experience for students as part of a new externship program.

Beginning Spring of 2015, Alex and Ani will join 13 other companies in southern New England in offering RWU Law students the opportunity to earn academic credit while training in its in-house corporate law department as part of the school’s Corporate Counsel Clinical Externship Program.

But what if the suit could be cooled down by using locally harvested rice?

The suit’s hood shields all but a health-care worker’s eyes. But what if the shield could be enlarged to reveal more of the face, allowing greater doctor-patient connection?
