New England Institute of Technology

Center for Technology and Industry

The CTI story began in 1986. Back then, New England Tech graduates had been entering the workforce for more than 45 years. Our students were integrated into just about every industry, not just here in Rhode Island, but across the world.

But the Technology Age was at its beginning, and it became evident very quickly that information would evolve and advance at an increasing pace. Our former students, their coworkers and so many industry professionals found that they needed retraining and re-education just to keep current. And what better place to get cutting-edge training than New England Tech, long established as an innovative education leader.

And so the Center for Technology and Industry at New England Tech was established, dedicated to answering the diverse technical training needs of industries, from healthcare to interior design. Whether conducted in the classroom or online, our programs are flexible by design, to deliver specialized training to over 2,000 participants annually.

Courses Offered:

There are many crucial points of difference between a degree from a “traditional college,” and one from New England Tech. For starters, the course content offered by traditional schools is “one size fits all” – something that does not address the many nuances specific to your company, product, service and customers.

Conversely, the content of a New England Tech degree program can be designed to fit around your organization. Whatever specific skills, knowledge and protocols your workforce requires is what we deliver. In fact, if traveling to a campus doesn’t mesh with the schedules of your “students,” we will come to you. On-site degree programs are just one more innovation that speaks to the New England Tech difference.

At New England Tech, we’re all about making education and training accessible – turning “How can I?” into “I can do this.” It’s what fuels our online training, and all the ways it eliminates the obstacles that keep you from your goals. If your circumstance or schedule makes it difficult to attend classes the traditional way, there is still a way to gain the same caliber of training and certification, anytime and anywhere that suits you.

As the world’s largest provider of web-based, instructor-supported training to colleges and universities, Ed2go was a perfect fit for New England Tech’s philosophy. Working with them, we have designed a full menu of open enrollment online programs. We share your goal: to increase marketability to prospective employers and enhance your chances for advancement.

Your grades are a result of online tests and the evaluation of your instructor, who will be with you every step of the way. You can expect a high level of active involvement and encouragement – one of the reasons online learning is surprisingly satisfying.
